Jose Miguez Bonino, Argentine, is an ordained minister in the Methodist Church and emeritus professor of Theology and Ethics at the Higher Institute of Protestant Theology in Buenos Aires. He holds a STM and MA in Theology and Education (Buenos Aires and Emory University, Atlanta, USA) and a Ph.D. in Theology (Union Theological Seminary, New York, USA). He has been visiting professor at several universities in the USA, France and the Netherlands. He is Co-President of the Permanent Assembly for Human Rights in Argentina and elected member of the National Constitutional Assembly. He authored several books including Toward a Christian Political Ethics (1982), and Faces of Latin American Protestantism (1993).
